Admissions 

Children begin their school life in the September following their fourth birthday. Applications for children due to start primary school in September 2024 will open on Friday 3rd November 2023 and will close on Monday 15th January 2024. 

Parents are encouraged to apply online at School admissions | Shropshire Council and will be informed of which school they have been offered in April 2024, on National Offer Day.

In-Year Admissions:

From 1 September 2024. Shropshire Council will be coordinating and allocating all requests for places at our school. 

We welcome prospective parents to visit our school. If you wish to apply for a place at our school, please complete the online application form via this link – Synergy - Homepage (shropshire.gov.uk).

Your application will be processed by the School Admissions Team at Shropshire Council in accordance with our school’s oversubscription criteria. You will then be notified via letter of the outcome of your application.

Appeals:

You can appeal if you have been refused a place at your preferred school. More information is available here. No discrimination will be shown to a prospective pupil on the grounds of race, sex or ability nor to those with disabilities once mainstream schooling has been deemed to be the most appropriate placing.

If your child is due to start Primary School in September 2024, you can appeal if you are refused a place at your preferred schools on National Offer Day. You needed to submit your appeal before Tuesday 14 May 2024 for it to be considered by Tuesday 16th July 2024. Any appeals received after this time will be heard within 40 school days from the deadline, or where reasonably possible in line with updated guidance from the Department for Education.

For late applications, appeals should be heard within 40 school days from the deadline for lodging appeals where possible, or within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged where reasonably possible in line with updated guidance from the Department for Education.
